Job Summary
The IT intern will assist the IT team in a variety of tasks spanning end user support, backend testing, front end development, and department administration.

Learning Outcomes: This position will allow the applicant to learn about the various areas of IT, tools and collaborations with departments and user with the organization.
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Interact with end users and gather information about issues and use cases.
- Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues
- Perform testing on a variety of systems
- Update documentation for end users, technicians, and administrators
- Liaison with Purchasing
Required Education and Experience
Sparton interns must meet the following criteria:
- Active pursuit of a Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution in an IT, data science, software development, or related curriculum.
- Experience with using web based and PC base software tools and systems.
- Understanding of PC architectures
- Understanding of networking concepts
- Understanding of computer operating systems and how to configure them
- IT certifications, such as A+ are recommended
- Applicants with a Software development background will also be considered
- Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to work on-site in De Leon Springs, FL
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Good working knowledge of computer and networking technology.
- Ability to use original thinking and ingenuity to solve problems.
- Ability to write technical reports and contribute to presentations.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
- Must show initiative and motivation, and have the ability to act independently to resolve technical issues.
