INTEGRATION SPECIALIST (FALCON OPERATIONS)

SpaceX is currently seeking a talented individual for a critical integration specialist role on the Flight Hardware Logistics Team. This team member will be responsible for looking ahead and enabling the Flight Hardware Logistics team to streamline operations. A wide range of skills and a self-driven attitude are essential for this role in order to support the current demands of ever-changing priorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop and execute processes to meet transporter configuration requirements
  • Collaborate and work cross-functionally to understand transporter configuration requirements.  Responsible for ensuring proper adherence to said requirements, specifically the Environment Control System
  • Maintain the Environment Control System for our transporter
  • Design and develop tools and hardware to enable efficient and streamlined flight hardware transports across all of Vandenberg
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes, equipment, and the work environment; support productivity improvements
  • Maintain calibrated and non-calibrated tool inventories, purchase replacement tools as needed and identify new tooling solutions to increase efficiency in the work center
  • Develop and execute procedures for maintenance on ground support equipment required for F9 Operations team
  • Collaborate with engineering staff from other departments and SpaceX locations to resolve off-nominal issues and ensure flight readiness
  • Maintain clear communication with engineering, technician, and logistics teams as required
  • Assist production teams with corrective actions

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 4+ years of experience in a technical and hands-on environment 

PREFFERED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Familiarity with HVAC systems
  • Familiarity with manufacturing or production, including complex fluid and/or mechanical assemblies 
  • Able to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging environment 
  • Urgency to complete and improve mundane tasks that require expertise and attention to detail 
  • Self-starter that is able to find projects without direction to improve efficiency on the floor 
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications 
  • Knowledge of high pressure pneumatic, hydraulic and cryogenic fluids systems 
  • Understanding of fluids system schematics and procedures related to launch operations 
  • Able to be diplomatic with a variety of individuals across the organizational infrastructure 
  • Knowledge of mechanical hardware (fluid fittings, fasteners, etc.)  

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to pass Air Force background check for Vandenberg

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Pay range: 

Integration Specialist/Level 1: $33.00 - $41.75/hour
Integration Specialist/Level 2: $37.50 - $47.25/hour
Integration Specialist/Level 3: $41.75 - $52.75/hour

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
