Responsibilities
- Establish performance expectations and goals aligned with Company objectives, policies, and procedures Manage, hires, trains and develop staff by providing timely feedback, coaching and support
- Provide expert advice and analysis of data related to customer usage, demand response and supply in the wholesale electric market to users across EPM and other SCE groups such as Finance, Risk Control, Regulatory Operations and Customer Services in support of after-the-fact analysis and regulatory reporting
- Implements improvements to standard operating procedures
- Review and approve the preparation and submission of regulatory reports and filings and/or data request responses to state and federal regulatory bodies
- Manage a team dedicated to contract provision compliance and engineering responsibilities for contracted resources
- Develops and advocates company positions in the interests of SCE and its customers regarding CAISO market design
- Manages numerous projects with the scope covering trading and energy market operations, risk management, and contract management & settlements; Leads automation and data management/strategy initiatives in EPM
- Review and approve all payments for a portfolio of 500 contracts with annual payments in excess of $4B, as well as daily CAISO invoices with annual transactions of $9B
- Provide oversight for the accurate aggregation of customer usage, demand response and generation production meter data
- Aids in providing direction to EPM on the Capital technology spend of about $6M per year. Recommends and aids in the development of EPM technology roadmap
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.
- Experience with the data requirements for energy markets and energy procurement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience presenting information and influencing leadership and stakeholders
- Experience in identifying and leading continuous improvement (CI) opportunities, and/or building the organizational capabilities of an organization to enable a culture of CI.
- Experience dealing with technical issues associated with the settlement of tolling agreements, power trading transactions, power transmission, bi-lateral power contracts
- Experience with wholesale power contracts, electric generation and the process of buying, transporting and accounting for the purchase of electric power
- Experience with the electric power industry, particularly the California deregulated power market, including California ISO market operations
- Experience with ION's ENDUR, or similar deal capture and settlement system
- Experience with SQL, Snowflake, and/or PowerBI usage or programming
Additional Information
- This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.\u202f Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.\u202f Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
