Become a Senior Supervisor, Mailing Operations at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of SCE's mailing facility, which is responsible for printing, inserting, and mailing over 28 million pieces of mail per year.
You will oversee a staff of 11 employees, tracking, and monitoring key performance indicators to ensure the timely and successful processing and mailing of customer statements, notices, and letters - providing team coaching and mentoring to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. The mailing operations is a critical function that supports SCE's vision to safely delivering affordable and reliable electricity today and in the future.

Responsibilities
Scope/Focus:
- Provides direct supervision of lead craft, operational, or technical employees and/or through coordination of assignments through first-level supervisors. Acts as advisor to direct reports; rarely performs work similar to direct reports.
Accountability:
- Plans and ensures execution of daily work assignments according to established policies and management guidance. Provides guidance to first level supervisors in the interpretation, training, enforcement, and compliance of corporate safety, illness and injury policies, rules, procedures and bargaining agreements. May interpret and represent the Company on labor issues/disputes as they relate to the department.
- Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Recommends changes to unit or sub-unit policies. Management reviews work to measure meeting of objectives.
Decision Making/Impact:
- Decisions impact work group operations. Interprets procedures in order to define practices used by direct reports to complete work assignments. Resolves issues for direct reports that fall outside of policies and practices.
- Erroneous decisions or recommendations or failure to achieve results might cause delays in schedules and require the allocation of more people and financial resources.
Minimum Qualifications
- Four or more years of experience managing, supervising, or leading an organization, unit, or teams
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Customer Service utility industry.
- Experience in a high-volume mailing operation environment.
- Experience with high-speed Ricoh printing and Pitney Bowe's inserting equipment.
- Knowledge of applicable government and regulatory laws and requirements
- Advanced SAP experience creating purchase orders, requisitions, invoice payment, and analyzing reports.
- Experience with budget and expense tracking .
- Team management or supervisory experience, to include assigning work tasks, developing work schedules and manage staffing levels.
- Vendor management experience to include inventory control, equipment maintenance, supervision of outsourced volumes completion, and quality assurance.
Additional Information
- This position's work mode is on-site. The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
- Mailing Operations operates Monday through Friday, between the hours of 4:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The standard work schedule for this position is 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., however, start times may occasionally begin earlier than 6:00 a.m., depending on operational requirements.
