This role will lead the strategy for Edison Safety to standardize communication and project efforts ensuring consistency, such as presentation delivery, across department teams. This includes oversight for refreshing the Safety Portal site , developing and publishing content for the CraftComm mobile app for field employees , and reviewing and approving incident learnings in the Weekly Incident Report . \u00a0

This role will also manage the safety communications strategy for high-visibility safety response, outreach and messaging, and will partner with project teams in the department and Company to coordinate safety program communication plan development.\u00a0 \u00a0

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and running enterprise-wide safety programs and initiatives; develops new processes and programs to drive Edison Safety strategic objectives
  • Acts as a lead, coordinating with technical experts in areas of safety culture, safety management systems and strategy; influences decisions on practices and policies to internal or external partners
  • Analyzes unique and complex technical problems and delivers solutions where precedent may not exist
  • Establishes project objectives and manages timelines, risk analysis, milestones, deliverables and budgets; approves tasks and schedule necessary for successful project execution and drives problem solving and issue resolution
  • Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results; work is checked through consultation and agreement with others rather than by formal review of management
  • Drives implementation of safety programs, policies and procedure for the enterprise independently with strategic decisions recommended to senior management
  • Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments
  • Responsible for influencing company leadership on major initiatives and implements strategic projects
  • Responsible for presenting, facilitating, and providing recommendations at executive forums and developing materials and reports for company leadership
  • Conducts training and presentations related to Safety projects and programs at an advanced level
  • Provides guidance about work activities to colleagues
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of experience leading and/or developing health, safety, or compliance programs, activities, or systems.

Preferred Qualifications

\u00a0

  • Experience leading safety programs for front line employees
  • Experience in a utility industry
  • Experience in developing and executing strategic plans and objectives
  • Experience presenting informationto leadership teams or stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications such as PowerPoint and Word

  • This position\u2019s work mode is\u00a0hybrid.\u00a0The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.\u202f Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and\u00a0reside in the state of California.\u202f Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.\u00a0The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
