Responsibilities
- Establishes and communicates enterprise-wide project management vision, policies, and objectives. Is responsible for leading a project management team that manages a portfolio of distribution projects and ensures that program targets are achieved through monitoring and shepherding through the IPSEC process
- Advises senior leaders on project investments, strategic initiatives, and benefits realization
- Collaborates with executive leadership to align project portfolio to corporate strategy
- Leads project management community of practice to share knowledge and enhance capabilities
- Serves as an authority in navigating the most complex regulatory environments for electrical transmission/distribution projects
- Leads long-range transmission/distribution infrastructure planning and project prioritization based on system needs, growth forecasts, and regulatory factors
- Develops and maintains executive-level relationships with regulatory agencies, policymakers, industry associations, and other stakeholders
- Ensures portfolio adoption of advanced technologies and innovations in transmission design, construction, operation, and asset management
- Provides input and informs capital execution strategy based on feasibility of execution, volume of work identified, historical performance, and density of scope in a particular area.
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Seven or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.
- Experience developing enterprise-wide project management vision, policies, and objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Seven or more years of experience in utility industry.
- Experience focused in Distribution Planning, Design, Project Management, and/or Operations.
- Experience in project management, budgeting, and working with environmental and governmental agencies to complete project execution
- Strategic problem solver with attention to tactical execution and detail.
Additional Information
- This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
