The Senior Project Management Specialist will be responsible for the governance and performance aspects of the NextGen Program Management Office (PMO). As a key member of the PMO team, you will support managers and senior advisors in completing deliverables and ensure the accuracy and completeness of forms, reports, and technical documentation. Provide guidance to employees and vendor resources across the NextGen ERP program team on PMO processes, documentation, and the status of deliverables. You will act as the liaison with technical and business integration teams and follow up on critical path deliverables.

  • Act as the PMO's key subject matter expert on governance structure and process
  • Conduct training and knowledge sharing on PMO-related topics.
  • Develop and manage PMO tracking systems, tools, and project documentation.
  • Manage the NextGen ERP SharePoint project collaboration tool and document repository.
  • Craft key project communications and presentations tailored to various audience levels.
  • Monitor deliverable quality and status, prepare management reports, and investigate, analyze, and propose solutions to mitigate risks, resolve issues, and ensure key decisions are made.

The essentials\:

  • Five or more years of project or program support experience.

The preferred\:

  • Strong attention to detail with proven data analytics and problem-solving skills, with three or more years of data analysis experience.
  • Experience implementing large programs or SAP systems.
  • Experience working in SCE's Transmission and/or Distribution business unit.
  • Experience with and knowledge of the IPSEC model.
  • Experience working with Copilot, ChatGPT, GPT-3 and/or other GenAI technologies.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, organizational change management, project / program management, or related field.
  • Project Management certification.

You should know

  • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
