assume responsibility for the staff who support SCE\u2019s portfolio of Demand Response (DR) programs through program processing, reporting, and customer care activities. You will ensure adequate customer and program support coverage during grid emergencies and work with fellow staff via emergency teams, leadership and others to provide support as needed.\u00a0\u00a0

SCE\u2019s DR portfolio is evolving, which will require leadership and creativity to innovate on existing programs to ensure SCE\u2019s DR portfolio is meeting the needs of customers, the grid, and environmental goals in California. SCE\u2019s DR programs provide customers the option to receive incentives in exchange for agreeing to reduce their energy demand upon request by SCE. These programs support SCE\u2019s ability to mitigate high energy prices, respond to grid emergencies, and reduce the long-term demand for new power generation resources.\u00a0

Responsibilities

  • Influences the strategic direction and short-term vision for the energy efficiency and demand response program with the overall program goals aligned to SCE objectives
  • Partners with stakeholders to ensure program success and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manages budgets and allocate resources effectively to support program initiatives, including funding for customer incentives, technology investments, marketing campaigns, and program evaluation activities
  • Establishes performance metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and reporting mechanisms to monitor the performance and effectiveness of programs
  • Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks, rules, and reporting requirements related to programs. Stay informed about regulatory changes and proactively adapt the program to meet evolving compliance standards.
  • Leads a team responsible for the day-to-day operations of program. Provide guidance, coaching, and performance management to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five or more years combined experience performing or supervising demand response principles, customer programs, or conservation/efficiency initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor\u2019s Degree
  • Experience in the field of electric utility Customer Programs such as Demand Response, grid operations, CAISO energy markets, reliability planning, regulatory, and/or customer side demand program management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams and external parties and work through conflicts constructively.\u00a0
  • Knowledge of the California wholesale energy markets and regulatory environment including government agencies such as the CPUC, CAISO, and others.\u00a0
  • Experience conducting thorough research and analysis to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and CPUC directives.\u00a0
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic business plans that have a large impact on the organization and prioritize strategic initiatives.\u00a0
  • Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiating skills to build consensus with stakeholders to develop and maintain partnerships with support organizations and senior management.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0
  • Broad knowledge of Company and department policies, objectives, strategies, goals, applicable governmental and regulatory laws and requirements, and accounting and budgeting practices.\u00a0\u00a0
  • Ability to take initiative and accountability for results.\u00a0
  • Ability to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.\u00a0
  • Ability to integrate work across relevant areas, and manage risks and safety appropriately.\u00a0

Additional Information \u00a0

  • This position\u2019s work mode is\u00a0hybrid.\u00a0The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.\u202f Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and\u00a0reside in the state of California.\u202f Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.\u00a0The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
