THE ROLE

We are seeking a Web Producer to serve as a key link between Sotheby’s Web Production and Specialist teams, with focus on Europe and the Middle East. This role combines expertise in web production, SEO, UX, and CRO to deliver impactful digital experiences.

Based within a collaborative, cross-functional team, you’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business to develop and execute high-quality, results-driven strategies. With a focus on experimentation and innovation, your work will shape Sotheby’s global digital presence and influence how we engage audiences worldwide.

RESPONSIBLITIES

Website Production & Management

  • Build, publish and update website content, ensuring accuracy, consistency and adherence to brand and editorial standards.
  • Work closely with Specialist teams to design and produce engaging content that drives strategic goals.
  • Monitor the EMEA sales, exhibition and event calendar and ensure the website is kept up to date.
  • Stay up to date with development to CMS processes and workflows.

Content Optimisation

  • Implement SEO best practices: titles, meta, headings, schema/structured data and internal linking.
  • Create clear and consistent journeys to auction and product pages.
  • Conduct lightweight CRO experiments on page layout, modules and copy and roll wins into future pages.

Performance Analysis & Product Development

  • Analyse page performance to inform updates and strategic recommendations.
  • Interpret data to identify opportunities for optimisation and adjust content accordingly.
  • Define requirements in collaboration with the Product team for improvements and new features for the site.
  • Collaborate with the wider Marketing team to translate insights into actionable content improvements.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

  • Proven web/content production experience using a modern CMS; Brightspot strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for on-page fixes.
  • Solid grasp of SEO best practices (on-page, technical basics, structured data, internal linking) and UX patterns.
  • Experience with A/B testing tools (e.g. Optimizely) and analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics/Amplitude/GA4).
  • Familiarity with Core Web Vitals and accessibility standards.
  • Strong writing and editing skills; impeccable attention to detail; confident communication skills under pressure.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Figma desirable
