Job Description
Title: Casual, Communications
Location: New Bond Street, London
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for the department, communicating effectively with clients and colleagues from around the world, in person, on the telephone, by email and by letter, and provide day-to-day departmental support.
- Provide departmental support, including:
- Deal with incoming and outgoing departmental correspondence
- Assist Head of Department with travel booking and expenses
- Coordinate messages and tasks while the Head of Department and other experts are travelling
- Facilitate day to day processes, acting as a bridge for fluid communication between internal departments and the Head of Department
- Answer enquiries regarding previous sale results and property offered by Sotheby’s
- Produce all estimate request and NSV correspondence
- Working with other business areas to respond to client enquiries, resolve client issues and execute client transactions to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction
- Liaising with clients and managing their property throughout the sale cycle

Qualifications, Skills & Requirements
- Degree level or equivalent qualification
- A strong academic record
- Ideally with 6-months to 2-years of work experience
- Adaptive, positive attitude, multi-tasker, team player, strong work ethic, leadership skills with a curiosity and passion for learning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and perform in a pressured environment and handle high level of responsibility
- Ability to work well with others as well as independently in order to achieve deadlines
- Occasional long hours required, included late evenings and weekends during sale deadlines, exhibitions and auctions
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
