Strategic Pricing Intern

Position Summary:
The Strategic Pricing Intern will support the pricing team in developing and refining pricing strategies for electrical products distributed through wholesale channels. This role involves analyzing customer segments, supplier costs, and market trends to help optimize pricing decisions that drive profitability and competitiveness in a fast-paced distribution environment.
This position will sit in our Charleston, SC office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in analyzing pricing data across product categories, customer types, and geographic regions.
- Support the development of pricing models that reflect cost fluctuations, supplier agreements, and market dynamics.
- Conduct competitive pricing analysis within the electrical distribution industry.
- Collaborate with sales, procurement, and finance teams to understand pricing impacts and customer expectations.
- Help maintain pricing databases and tools used for quoting and margin analysis.
- Prepare reports and dashboards to communicate pricing performance and opportunities.
- Participate in strategic initiatives such as margin improvement projects and pricing automation efforts.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; experience with Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a strong interest in pricing strategy and distribution operations.

Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with wholesale distribution or industrial supply chains.
- Understanding of electrical products and their market dynamics.
- Experience with ERP systems or pricing software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Basic knowledge of SQL or other data querying tools.
