Receiving Supervisors are responsible for overseeing the activities of ESC receiving department. They ensure that all incoming goods are properly inspected and stored.
General Responsibilities
- Train staff to handle, sort, and maintain stock
- Review records for accuracy and compliance with established procedures
- Prepare work schedules and determine procedures
- Assign duties and assess work for accuracy
- Respond to quality issues with associates
- Reviewing reports on inventory levels to ensure that the inventory amount will fulfill the warehouse needs
- Communicate with vendors about the order status and problems with shipments
- Coordinate vendor returns
- Ensuring that shipments are received in a timely manner
- Provide quality assurance for all products
Supervisory Responsibilities
Interviewing and hiring applicants, ensuring that their qualifications and skills are compatible with the company
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a distribution environment. At least one year of supervisory experience required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of fundamentals of distribution management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Forklift certification
- Valid driver's license
