We're looking for a driven QA Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll focus on early and ongoing testing, spearheading our quality initiatives while working closely with developers to incorporate automated tests into the development pipeline. Your proactive approach will help identify and resolve potential issues, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software efficiently. As part of the QA team, you'll play a key role in realizing our quality vision by utilizing modern principles like automation, CI/CD, and shift-left strategies.
The QA Engineer role is based in our Broomfield, CO offices, hybrid work environment with 3 days in the office per week.
Responsibilities:
- Drive quality efforts within Agile teams and collaborate with the team to define acceptance criteria, assess risks, and identify potential issues early in the development cycle.
- Contribute to testing strategies and continuous integration (CI/CD) processes.
- Maintain test plans, ensuring test coverage across functional and non-functional aspects.
- Write, execute, and maintain automated tests aligned with test strategies using BDD Cucumber and WDIO.
- Perform various kinds of tests, e.g. API, end-to-end, exploratory testing
- Analyze test results, manage defects, and provide detailed reporting of testing outcome.
Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of automation testing frameworks and practices, including experience in designing, writing, and executing automated tests.
- Familiar with defect tracking and test management tools.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Skilled in analyzing information to identify root causes and apply solutions.
- Proficient in JavaScript/Typescript and experienced in automation tools (Cucumber, WDIO)
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, Knowledge of SAFe is a plus
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing methodologies (Shift-Left, Test Pyramid)
- Be authorized to work for Sonepar in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future
Starting Salary: $80,000-$100,000
