What you will do:

  • Develop and direct the management of the supply chain Central Distribution Center to ensure timely ordering processing, accurate inventory control, and proper Warehouse management. This includes CDC and branch processing, routing/delivery and quality indices.
  • Have oversite of the transportation group around logistics and fleet.
  • Develop working relationships with Sales Leaders to develop short- and long-term strategies in each of the business segments of Industrial, Contractor and Renewables.
  • Develop relationships with key accounts in understanding logistical needs and developing successful strategies to exceed customer expectations.
  • Reinforce all Sonepar business and operational policies and ensure that controls are in place and operating as designed.
  • Review each department's monthly expenses; recommend areas for savings and report areas of concern timely.
  • Correspond with branch and company management to resolve questions and issues that arise in the normal course of business-e.g. opening/closure of branches, branch relocations, acquisitions, and lease/buy decisions.
  • Continually investigate and introduce process improvement measures and present suggestions to Senior Leadership Team for consideration.
  • Participate with other managers in operational and administrative process improvement.
  • Develop self and others - assign and accept challenging assignments to expand professional knowledge and capabilities of self and others.
  • Perform other job responsibilities, as requested.

  • partnership with HR. Recognize succession needs, identify potential successors, and manage development plans to ensure preparedness for succession activities.
  • Safety Environment leadership and accountability.
  • Leveraging data and analytics for forecasting and planning across Supply Chain, Inventory and Logistics functions.
  • Inbound / Outbound logistics optimizations inclusive of engaging supplier synergies and cost reductions.

What you will bring:

  • High School or greater
  • 5-10 Years of Management Experience
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively (written or verbal), with excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills to successfully respond to urgent situations.
  • Must be highly organized and process-oriented
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks consistently and on time
  • Warehouse Management System experience
  • Ability to adapt and change processes to keep pace with the evolving business requirements
  • Solid understanding of Federal DOT, Safety and OSHA standards
  • Fleet / Transportation Management experience
  • 5-7 years, Logistics, or Supply Chain
  • Six Sigma/lean, Kaizen experience preferably in a distribution/warehouse environment
  • Electrical distribution industry experience preferred (3-5 years)
  • Develops and implements measurable KPI's
  • Ensures department KPI's and productivity levels are maintained or exceed while maintaining quality and accuracy
  • Maintain high level of floor presence to direct the flow of work and make the necessary movement of the team.
  • Ensure all safety programs and requirements are met, holding the organization to the highest standards of safety and compliance.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced, high-energy environment.
  • Exceptional leadership expertise and demonstrated track record of creating employee engagement, hiring, retaining, developing staff, and resolving interpersonal conflicts and nurturing teamwork among the teams.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Required to sit, speak, hear, read, type, use close and distance vision (about 5-8 hours per shift).


  • This position works in a normal office environment as well as a warehouse environment, with standard office equipment. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. while working in the office. The noise level in the warehouse environment is usually moderate and temperature can change based on the season.
  • Work is generally non-sedentary in nature but may require sitting for up to 25% of the time.

Salary Range:

  • This is an exempt position that pays $100,200.00 - $140,266.00 annually.This salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, within California. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
