Job Summary
The Lighting Solutions Coordinator is responsible for supporting an ongoing Lighting product program and servicing customers in the specific product areas of Lighting. This role will carry unique responsibilities in overseeing the flow of material and providing information to key stakeholders, including Solutions Managers, Account Managers, and Branch Leadership.
Compensation: $28.00 - $30.00/hour
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Acquire, utilize and continuously develop personal technical knowledge of general and specialty lighting products to assist and respond to customers and other company personnel.
- Track sales orders from time of placement in order to communicate upcoming lighting material needs to manufacturers and vendors.
- Monitor and follow up on lighting order shipments with manufacturers and vendors to ensure timely reception and enable logistics planning.
- Validate accuracy and organization of shipping and receiving of lighting material to optimize continuity of information, from initial request to final delivery, assisting with shipping, receiving, and cycle counting material as needed.
- Assist customers directly through building familiarity with products sold by use, vendor, catalog and catalog number, reference materials, and special selling points.
- Communicate and occasionally visit with customers and vendors to better understand and represent products and processes.
- Identify and utilize appropriate company and/or customer pricing systems to answer questions.
- Estimate date of delivery to customer based on knowledge of vendor lead-times.
- Review customer complaints concerning billing or products sold, assisting in investigation and resolution.
- Prepare correspondence and reports necessary for business transactions.
- Partner with Purchasing Department to review purchase orders, set inventory levels, and identify discontinued items and suitable replacement items.
- Coordinate with Pricing Group in preparation of product part number loading into ERP system.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business articles and information, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to draft reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions verbally and in writing from small groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from an accredited two-year college or university; and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
