Summary:

A Customer Delivery Driver for Capital Electric is responsible for checking and loading material onto truck, delivering material to customer or Capital Electric branch in a timely professional manner, and forming positive customer relationships to ensure the correct material reaches the customer while maintaining the reputation of providing a reliable and accountable delivery service

Responsibilities:

  • Check material in staging area and load truck
  • Create shipping manifests
  • Perform truck maintenance inspections
  • Deliver material to customers and/or Capital Electric branch locations
  • Drive truck defensively, cautiously, and respectfully to various locations
  • Unload and place material where customer requests
  • Provide good customer service
  • Pick-up customer returns
  • Unload truck of customer returns
  • Follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
  • Be on time and work diligently with co-workers
  • Multi-task and continually prioritize tasks to be completed throughout the day
  • Other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • CDL Class B License
  • 2 years driving experience - tractor-trailer or flatbed preferred
  • No prior traffic violations or license suspensions for one year
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on regular basis; up to 70 lbs. occasionally
  • Reliable, responsible, and a great work ethic
