We have a great opportunity for a Project Management Director to join our team! The Project Management Director is responsible for leading our Project Management teams to drive sales, profitability, and growth in our local markets. This position will also provide leadership, organization, and direction to build a team capable of exceeding customer requirements and expectations. This position can report from any Echo Electric branch location.

Essential Functions Include:

Project Management

  • Lead and manage Regional Quotation Managers and Project Coordinator Team Lead roles to ensure established goals and objectives are being met.
  • Develop and implement plans that include key strategies, measurable goals, and successful project delivery.
  • Lead margin growth in the project bidding process.
  • Increase the bid-hit rate in the project bidding process.
  • Implement and champion Digital Job Center utilization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.

Growth & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintains knowledge of customer trends that could impact our current/future operational structure and services.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to recommend operational needs/challenges that enhance the customer experience.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure bid to order conversions, gross profit margins, etc.

Customer Relations

  • Establishes and maintains ethical, cooperative manufacturer relationships.
  • Meet with key representatives to coordinate lasting partnerships/relationships.
  • Regularly meet with key personnel at supplier/vendor locations to review and establish communication expectations.

Compliance

  • Ensures OpCo operational procedures are implemented and correctly executed.
  • Communicates OpCo vision and values. Implements the highest standards for customer service excellence, operating excellence, and ethics.
  • Ensures practices are conducted in compliance with governing federal and state regulations.

Team Leadership

  • Ensures team is trained and proficient in product, industry skills, business systems (Eclipse/Solar, Job Management, & Digital Job Center), etc.
  • Provides clear and specific expectations to direct reports. Sets mutually agreed upon goals for each team member through an interactive process annually. Conducts periodic check-ins to provide meaningful performance feedback and guidance in relation to their performance goals.
  • Supports team development through talent planning efforts in partnership with HR. Recognize succession needs, identify potential successors, and manage development plans to ensure preparedness for succession activities.

Necessary Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electric Engineering, Project Management, Sales, Business, or related field, or equivalent on the job experience as determined by Echo Electric.
  • 8+ years of Quotations and/or Project Management experience.
  • Knowledge of ERP and/or quotations bidding software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems at strategic, tactical, and functional levels.
  • Demonstrated customer and vendor relationship building and maintenance skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats.
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills, including the ability to plan and manage multiple priorities & events simultaneously.
  • Commitment to and demonstration of high ethical standards of behavior.
  • Proven attentiveness to detail coupled with problem analysis and resolution skills.
  • Personal characteristic of an improvement mindset, self-motivated, trustworthy, diplomatic approach, and reliable.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience utilizing the Eclipse ERP.

Physical Ability Requirements

  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, including as a driver or passenger in an automobile.
  • Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, calculator, and telephone for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to occasionally climb a ladder and step stool.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and otherwise transport work-related materials that frequently weigh up to 25 lbs. and that may occasionally weigh in excess of 25 lbs.
  • Ability to travel.
