The HR Business Partner (HRBP) Director for Solventum’s Health Information Systems organization is a pivotal leadership role responsible for shaping and executing the organization’s people strategy in alignment with business goals. Serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, this director drives organizational effectiveness, champions talent development, and fosters a culture of engagement, innovation, and inclusivity. The HRBP Director collaborates closely with executive stakeholders to ensure that HR initiatives not only support but accelerate Solventum’s mission to enable better, smarter, safer healthcare to improve lives. 

  • Strategic Partnership: Partner with the Health Information Systems’ leadership team to define and execute HR strategies that drive business results, scalability, and competitive advantage.
  • Talent Management: Lead workforce planning, talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development, ensuring that the organization attracts, retains, and develops top talent in a rapidly evolving healthcare technology landscape.
  • Organizational Development & Change Management: Design and implement organizational effectiveness programs, including change management strategies, to support business transformation and growth initiatives.
  • Organizational Design: Develop and implement organizational structures that enhance efficiency, scalability, and alignment with business goals. Partner with regional HR teams to execute any workforce changes. 
  • Culture and Engagement: Foster a high-performance, inclusive, and collaborative organizational culture leveraging HR centers of excellence employee engagement programs, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and innovative recognition practices.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as an escalation point and advisor for complex employee relations matters, resolving issues proactively and ensuring that organizational practices are fair, consistent, and compliant.
  • Leadership Coaching: Advise and coach leaders at all levels to enhance people leadership skills, build strong teams, and drive employee engagement and accountability.

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field or higher AND 10 years of general HR experience and 5+ years of experience in a HR business partner role in a public, private, or military environment.

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED AND (16) years of general HR experience and 5+ years of experience in a HR business partner role in a public, private, or military environment.

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including proven success as a business partner or director in a global organization.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to inspire, influence, and lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed, fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical: Analytical skills, with experience leveraging data and metrics to inform strategic decisions.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to engage and build trust with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Change Management: Track record of leading effective change initiatives and driving organizational transformation.
  • Global Perspective: Experience working in diverse, multicultural environments with a global mindset.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
  • Strategic Agility: Ability to anticipate trends, adapt HR strategies, and drive innovative solutions that support business objectives.
  • Influence & Negotiation: Skilled in managing stakeholder expectations, negotiating win-win outcomes, and driving alignment across functions.
  • Ethical Judgment: Maintains the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Resilience: Thrives in dynamic environments, navigating ambiguity and competing priorities with composure and resourcefulness.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $222,044 - $271,387, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
