The Role…
At Soho House, the Public Restaurant Food & Beverage Manager maintains the local properties' food and beverage (F&B) operation in conjunction with the General Manager of Public Outlets. The primary responsibility of the Allis Food & Beverage Manager is to uphold Soho House service standards and create an approachable yet elevated atmosphere for members, guests, and staff within The Allis restaurant. In this role, you will also oversee forecasting, business improvement plans, payroll/labor, budgets, and revenue.

Main Duties…
- Upholds all Service Standards.
- Reports to work as scheduled, in uniform, well groomed, and ready to be in position.
- Manage staff in all aspects, including recruiting, training, schedules, payroll, staff complaints, and disciplinary procedures.
- Assess staff performance, conduct appraisals, and strategize for improving staff performance.
- Maintains professional relationships with all coworkers and guests.
- Organize staff meetings, trainings, and agendas monthly.
- Maintain a positive attitude to guest requirements—attentiveness to service, responding positively to guests' needs, and ensuring timely resolution.
- Resolving staff issues/concerns, ensuring follow through and follow up.
- Properly communicating with other departments regarding daily activities/issues.
- Supporting staff with service when and where necessary.
- Monitoring staff schedules to accommodate business needs daily.
- Maintains a safe, clean, organized, and stocked work area.
- Ensure that the health and safety policy (I.e., IIPP, worker's comp procedures, and allergy procedures) is always adhered to.
- Implement, monitor, adhere to, and enforce compliance with all Company policies, procedures, standards, and local, state, and federal law as applicable.
- Responsible for profit goals of the F&B operation.
- Ensure that there is always a management presence on the floor.
- Providing proper guidance to staff, including training and disciplinary action as required.
- Develops, maintains, and administers a sound business and organizational plan for the property's F&B operations.
- Ensures that all safety and sanitation standards are following local/state health department regulations.
- Creates and implements all policies & procedures for the F&B department.
- Analyzes financial statements for the F&B operations (income and expenses) relative to budgeted goals and takes corrective measures as necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Must have 2+ years' experience in food and beverage operations and a proven track record of leading a professional, efficient, high-quality, service-oriented operation in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Must have excellent interpersonal/relationship-building skills.
- Must have supervisory, coaching, and staff development experience.
- Must have strong business aptitude.
- A four-year Degree in Hospitality and/or Restaurant Management preferred, but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands.
- Must be able to make periodical fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the property to others.
- Must be able to move, pull, push, carry or lift at least 30 pounds.
- Must be able to occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb is required.
- Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting, cleaning, and stooping.
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time.

In accordance with Illinois law, the salary range for this role if filled within Chicago is listed below. The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
