At Soho House, a Health Club Supervisor is dedicated to health, wellness, and overall fitness. The Health Club Supervisor is a dynamic role that oversees every aspect of the day-to-day operation of Soho House Health Clubs, ensuring members and guests enjoy a world-class fitness experience. Responsibilities include ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the gym and ensuring that the equipment and machines are in excellent working condition. You’ll lead by example, inspiring your team to deliver seamless service and maintain the highest standards of guest experience.
Main Duties
- Working closely with the host and gym attendant team to ensure a high standard of the gym spaces, exceptional guest experience, meeting and exceeding member expectations.
- Supporting and developing the fitness team through effective training and motivation to achieve operational targets.
- Working with the General Manager and Soho Health Club management to monitor budgets, financial planning, and operational efficiencies.
- Encouraging Soho House’s ethos, the “Soho Ways,” in daily operations, interactions and team leadership.

- Influential fitness leader responsible for providing high-quality fitness training, advice, programs, and inductions to members and staff as well as overseeing staffing levels and member events
- Reporting directly to the General Manager and will assist by overseeing the Gym team's performance and strategizing with leadership to assess staff performance and development while maintaining professional relationships.
- Monitor and analyze delivery of services to identify opportunities for quality of delivery, attendance figures, and making changes where needed to increase profit margins and revenue streams
- Collaborate with the Membership and Events Team with the promotion of facility services and amenities to optimize new membership and potential profit increases and create a holistic member experience across the club.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of day-to-day operations and write corresponding reports manage gym database systems effectively for sales, renewals, direct debits, customer exits and membership numbers
- Vendor management and supply and procurement activities and deal with equipment manufacturers to ensure all pieces of gym equipment comply with safety and Soho House standards and organize the repair, cleaning, maintenance, and purchase of gym machines
- Adhere to health and safety policy (I.e. IIPP, worker’s comp procedures, and allergy procedures) is always followed as well as implement, monitor and enforce compliance with all Company policies procedures, and standards and local, state, and federal law as applicable
- Greet and interact with members and guests as they enter and exit the facility. Assist in all inquiries in person or over the phone.
- Explain, promote and register members for various programs, classes and activities
- Strong understanding of Soho Health Club’s Core Classes, monitoring class times and class attendance to ensure we’re offering the best program to members
- Spearhead fitness and wellness partnerships with local business and brands to enhance the Health Club offering
- Working with the Member Events Manager on cross-promoting member events and wellness events between the House and the Health Club
- Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a similar role in fitness, health and wellness.
- Trainer certification: ACSM, NSCA, NASM, CFSC, CSCS, ACE, CFlvl1 highly preferred.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety matters.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Flexible schedule and ability to work nights, weekends and holidays (when applicable).
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in sport science, business administration or management, or another related field desired.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
- Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
- Fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others.
- Must be able to move, pull, carry, or lift at least 50 pounds.
- Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.
