Main Duties…

  • Exercise controllership responsibilities by ensuring accounting records and financial information is maintained accurately and up to date in accordance with generally accepted accounting and auditing standards.
  • Partner with the GM and function heads on budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis, and to drive key business initiatives
  • Lead the HK finance team in providing financial support for strategic and operational business planning, including budgeting and forecasting, financial control, financial evaluation of new projects, and reporting procedures
  • Manage treasury functions, cashflow analysis, group reporting, and local statutory audits; oversees local tax filings and cash flow management incl. weekly cashflow forecast
  • Prepare and present periodic house performance reports in review meetings with headquarters and the local management team
  • Provide insightful analysis and rolling forecasts to assist operations teams in revenue generation
  • Identify and implement various cost-saving initiatives and proposes operational streamlining measures
  • Offer support, insights, and timely analysis to department heads to enhance their understanding of departmental financial performance
  • Exercise overall supervision and control over the procurement function
  • Demonstrate strong leadership qualities, possess excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal, written and presentation) skills and have a result-oriented approach.

 

Requirements / Qualifications...

  • Minimum of 10+ years’ relative experience with 3+ years Management experience
  • Bachelor's degree or above in finance, accounting, or a related field, with a professional accounting qualification (preferably CPA qualified)
  • Proven work experience as a Financial Controller
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
  • Strong sense of business acumen, analytical, communication and reporting skills;
  • Proficiency in computer literacy, open-minded mindset in embracing new-gen accounting and control system
  • Mature, agile and demonstrate a positive mindset
  • Demonstrated superior communication (written and verbal), teamwork, and organizational skill
  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines
  • Passionate about Soho House and upholding its standards and core ethos
  • Work permit in Hong Kong is required
