Corporate Tax Manager, 12 Month FTC
The Role…
Soho House have a unique opportunity for a highly enthusiastic tax professional who is passionate about the Soho House brand and businesses to join our in-house tax team as a Corporate Tax Manager, based at our UK Head Office - 180 The Strand, London. The role reports into the Head of Corporate Tax and is responsible for helping to manage the corporate tax affairs of the group. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a developing tax team, offering valuable exposure to a wide range of domestic and international tax matters.
Main Duties…
Tax Compliance
- Primary responsibility for UK corporate tax returns (preparation currently outsourced)
- High level review of overseas tax returns (ex-US)
- Coordinate Pillar Two compliance process, Hybrids analysis, Controlled Foreign Company analysis
- Review externally prepared Corporate Interest Restriction workings
- Key role in HMRC relationship for UK corporation tax
- Provide training for UK Finance teams on corporation tax
- Partner with the legal/finance teams and external advisors to ensure compliance with withholding tax reporting requirements globally
Tax Governance
- Support the review of tax risks, controls and implementation of process improvements including SAO, CCO and SOx internal control requirements
- Monitor and analyse changes to tax legislation that impact the Group and communicate best practices to address any such changes
- Effectively build relationships within the business. The tax team works closely with members across various departments and strong relationships are essential (e.g. with Finance, Legal, Memberships, Events, Retail).
Tax accounting and reporting
- Coordination and preparation of tax provision support for quarterly and annual reporting under US GAAP
- Cooperate with the Group’s external auditors to ensure the timely resolution of tax provision queries, both at quarter/year end and during the preparation of statutory financial statements
- Assist with tax reporting for statutory financial statements across UK entities under FRS102

Transfer Pricing
- Collaborate with other members of the tax team on the update and maintenance of the Group’s transfer pricing policies
- Coordinate and review Country-by-Country Reporting submission
Other
- Assist other members of the tax team with ad-hoc advisory projects
Requirements / Qualifications...
- Qualified Accountant or Tax advisor (CA/ACA/CTA)
- Big Four experience preferred
- UK/US GAAP tax accounting experience, including tax accounting in a group scenario
- Experience of dealing with advisors and auditors
- Able to build effective professional relationships quickly and work collaboratively
- Able to work at pace and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
