Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a culinary leader to join the team as a Sous Chef at HCA Houston Rehabilitation Hospital Southeast in Pasadena, TX. The Sous Chef is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations to ensure the consistent preparation and delivery of nutritious, high-quality meals that meet patient-specific dietary requirements. This role includes supervising kitchen staff, upholding strict food safety and sanitation standards, and supporting menu development in alignment with healthcare dietary guidelines.
What You'll Do
- be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting;
- ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
- have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
- ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and/or
- have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.
