What You'll Do

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and monitor/evaluate patient care outcomes on an ongoing basis
• Perform nutrition-focused physical exams and nutrition education
• Actively participate in multidisciplinary rounding
• Be involved in quality improvement projects
• Precept dietetic interns
• Participate in departmental, clinical, and other meetings related to areas of practice
• Provide coverage on rotating weekends and holidays
• Provide coverage as needed in NICU nutrition lab/formula room

What You Bring

• Registered Dietitian credential and licensed in Tennessee (or eligible)
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
• Creative problem-solving skills, can work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work within a self-directed and team-oriented work environment
• Strong focus on driving outstanding patient satisfaction results and driving process improvement activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
