Role Overview
Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Manager 2 for St. Barnabas Health, located in the Belmont section of the Bronx, NY. This healthcare facility serves an average daily patient census of 250.
As a key member of the food service leadership team, the Food Service Manager 2 will report directly to the Operations Manager and oversee a team of approximately 85 union employees. This role is responsible for the direction and daily operations of patient meal services, ensuring high standards of food safety, sanitation, and customer service. The position also includes direct interaction with patients and nursing staff to help deliver an exceptional patient dining experience.

What You'll Do
- Supervise and support all aspects of daily patient food operations
- Lead, train, and manage a unionized workforce of approximately 85 employees
- Conduct patient and nursing rounding to ensure satisfaction and service excellence
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation standards, and regulatory guidelines
- Promote and foster a culture of hospitality and customer service

What You Bring
- A minimum of 2 years of college education (Associate's degree or higher)
- At least 2 years of management experience in a food service environment
- Prior experience working in a healthcare setting
- Experience managing unionized staff (preferred)
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred)
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- A passion for delivering high levels of customer service and patient satisfaction
