Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Food Operations Manager to oversee dining services and ensure a consistently high-quality experience for residents, guests, and staff at Williamsburg Landing, a large upscale continuing care retirement community located in Williamsburg, Virginia. The Food Operations Manager 3 will mainly oversee the front of operations of the fine dining restaurant and a casual bistro serving our independent living residents and guests. Will manage an hourly staff of approximately 40 employees including 2 dining room supervisors. Typical shift is 9:30am- 7:00pm, may vary with every other weekend coverage. This position offers 3 weeks paid vacation to start, 401k, great benefits, and more!

What You Bring

  • has excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with seniors and managing people and the dining operation to make every day a better day for our clients and residents;
  • has prior food retail, fine dining and/or catering experience;
  • has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
  • can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and
  • is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 3 years

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
