Food Operations Manager 2

Role Overview

Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a Food Operations Manager 2 to join our food service team at Deerfield, a large upscale Life Care Community located in Asheville, North Carolina. Deerfield offers several exciting dining venues including a bistro, a cafe, and dining room service. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, hospitality and communication skills. Typical schedule is 10:30 am - 7:30 pm with some weekend coverage

What You'll Do

• oversee mainly front of house operations of the bistro, cafe and dining rooms
• successfully coordinate all required tasks through subordinate managers, supervisors and frontline staff
• deliver high quality food services for our resident dining operations
• achieve company and client financial targets and goals
• develop and maintain client and customer relationships
• ensure HACCP, regulatory and standards compliance
• have daily interaction with residents, their families and clinical team to ensure resident satisfaction
• create a positive environment
• ensure Sodexo standards are met

• have prior food service management experience ideally in restaurants, fine dining experience
• have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills
• can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
• are enthusiastic and confident
• ability to drive employee success to enhance the value of the food and nutrition team I
• prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
• demonstrate working knowledge of Food Management Systems and is proficient in computer skills.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
