Sodexo is seeking a dynamic and experienced Food Operations Manager 2 for NYC Health + Hospitals/McKinney, a 320-bed, a 5-Star Rated facility known for its welcoming atmosphere and deep connection to the Brooklyn, NY community.
In this highly visible leadership role, you will support the General Manager to provide a positive resident dining experience, be responsible for overseeing patient dining operations, managing client relations, and leading a team of 43 union employees and 3 salaried managers.

What You'll Do
- Direct daily operations of patient dining services, including tray line production, food quality, and service excellence.
- Serve as the primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring expectations are met or exceeded.
- Lead and support the clinical nutrition and Patient Services Manager (PSM) teams.
- Collaborate with nursing, dietary staff, and hospital leadership to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Oversee regulatory compliance, safety standards, and sanitation practices in line with ServSafe and local health codes.
- Conduct regular patient meal rounding and act on patient feedback to improve satisfaction.
- Analyze patient satisfaction data and implement performance improvement plans.
- Coordinate with the diet office to address patient meal and menu concerns promptly.

What You Bring
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to engage teams and drive results.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Prior healthcare food service management experience (preferred).
- Experience working in a union environment and managing both hourly and salaried staff.
- A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and a commitment to patient satisfaction.
- ServSafe certification and deep understanding of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with patient experience and safety initiatives in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
