Role Overview
Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef for its food service operations at Greenwood House, an assisted living and skilled care facility located in Ewing, New Jersey. As Executive Chef, you'll take a hands-on leadership role, managing all aspects of food production and kitchen operations. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll oversee a dedicated team of approximately 25 hourly employees while ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and service. The typical shift will be vary between the hours 5:00am - 6:30pm, with some weekend coverage. This is a great opportunity to grow your culinary career.

What You'll Do
- oversee daily operations of the kitchen;
- have a background in food production with strong cooking skills;
- handle ordering and inventory;
- ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality;
- have high expectations for the quality of food and presentation;
- have the ability and willingness to mentor and train employees; and
- strong computer skills with knowledge of Food Management Systems/Software is preferred.

What You Bring
- prior food service management experience ideally in a healthcare environment;
- strong culinary knowledge;
- knowledge of special diets is helpful;
- experience supervising and training a culinary team with exceptional human resource and supervisory skillset;
- experience managing food costs and strong computer skills;
- an enthusiasm for working with a diverse set of people and are confident and warm;
- a positive approach to tasks with a can-do attitude and impeccable attention to detail.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
