Role Overview
Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services / Custodial Manager 2 at St David' Medical Center in Austin, TX. Located in Central Austin, St. David's Medical Center includes a 371-bed acute care hospital and a 64-bed rehabilitation hospital providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care. It is home to the internationally renowned Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia Institute and St. David's Neuroscience & Spine Institute.
This is a split shift position (5:00pm to 2:00am, Monday - Friday) which will include alternating weekends and occasional holidays. Relocation is not offered at this time.
This position will assist the General Manager in leading the Day-to-Day evening operations of the Environmental Services department by overseeing all housekeeping operations. It will also be responsible for maintaining payroll records, and schedules. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.
What You'll Do
- be responsible for driving client and patient satisfaction scores;
- provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff and works closely with the Infectious Control department;
- lead teams and departmental projects and initiatives;
- effectively manage the Unit Operating System; and/or
- support a diverse and inclusive workforce.

What You Bring
- experience leading, training and managing a team and is a leader who develops and motivates a team to exceed the expectations of clients and customers in service delivery;
- customer service and/or guest satisfaction experience in healthcare or hospitality.
- strong leadership skills and has the ability to work independently;
- monitor compliance and reach project target dates of completion;
- experience effectively managing projects within agreed upon timelines;
- a safety-driven mindset;
- a strong proficiency with computers and other technology;
- the ability to speak Spanish will assist in managing this workforce; and/or
- ability to work a Monday - Friday, 5:00pm - 2:00am schedule with rotating weekends and holidays.
