Location: We are seeking several experienced Cooks to work with the Sodexo Live! Travel Team!
The Sodexo Live! Travel Team is a specialized group of employees who travel to various venues and events to support Sodexo Live!'s food and beverage operations. This team provides on-the-ground expertise for major sporting events, as well as smaller venues requiring seasonal support.
In addition to operational support, the Travel Team plays a vital role in developing the next generation of hospitality professionals by offering hands-on training and mentorship, ensuring consistent service excellence across all locations.
Job Overview:
The Cook I position performs as an informal leader among its peer cook positions. The Cook I will assume grill or line responsibilities within the kitchen requiring detail and creativity and will perform responsibilities for food preparation. The Cook I will contribute to Sodexo Live!'s operational and financial success by following all Sodexo Live! culinary standards for sanitation and preparation, and by guiding other Culinary staff members to ensure that food product is of the highest quality in taste and appearance, to satisfy guest expectations and to maximize food revenues.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide on-the-ground support for major sporting and entertainment events.
- Prepare and coordinate orders to ensure they are cooked in a timely, accurate, consistent and quality manner.
- Set up and stock station and ensure other work areas are stocked accordingly.
- Adhere to company standards for food quality, taste, flavor and presentation.
- Ensure that food is portioned and presented according to standards, as well as guest.
- Work in collaboration with other unit culinary team members to achieve operational objectives.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Prior experience in a high-volume kitchen or event-based culinary setting.
- Strong understanding of culinary techniques and food safety.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Culinary degree from an accredited college or university.
- Ability to travel frequently and adapt to new environments.
- Scheduling flexibility to meet operational needs. Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for entire shift. Must be able to frequently lift and carry food and other items weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally greater. Must be able to go from warm to cold climates (workstation to coolers).
