Role Overview

SodexoMagic is a joint venture in partnership with Earvin "Magic" Johnson that provides food and facilities management, as well as integrated services, for corporations, healthcare facilities, K-12 schools, college campuses and aviation lounges.

Sodexo is seeking a highly skilled Controller to support Multiple Locations /Accounts to manage all accounting and financial matters for our Corporate Services accounts in the Bay area of California. This role will be responsible for overseeing financial processes, budgeting, reporting, and training, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations for both Sodexo and our clients.

As a key partner to onsite Managers, you'll play a critical role in overseeing accounting and financial operations for multiple units and clients. This is a highly visible, challenging opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager who thrives in a dynamic environment. Reporting to the District Manager you'll make a meaningful impact by ensuring financial success while working collaboratively across multiple locations.

What You'll Do

  • Review financial data for accuracy before weekend, period-end, and year-end financial close
  • Responsible for all transactions for weekly, monthly, and annual close ensuring contract compliance
  • Manage all accounting and financial matters for all cost centers including account reconciliations, accounts payable, billing, budget, reporting, inventory, transfers, etc.
  • Performs trend analysis to assist decision-making
  • Analyzes year-over-year spending variances to assist with the budgeting process
  • Builds strong relationships with all levels of the organization to ensure operational effectiveness

What You Bring

  • Experience leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies
  • Ability to perform requirements analysis and document and communicate the results of your efforts
  • Effectively communicates your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
  • Experience gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports
  • Ability to work closely with clients, Sodexo Managers
  • Proven leadership, training, coaching, and experience guiding in unit managers

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in finance, accounting or related field
