What you’ll do

  • Deliver analytics and insights to advance our understanding of customer engagement and content performance across our new Spotlight products. Partner with the business and product leads to understand creators, customers, content and performance. 

  • Help build and manage a team of high performing data scientists and help them execute along the most important priorities and deliver world-class products 

  • Deliver clear data and dashboards on what is happening in the product, metric regressions and understanding of ML performance

  • Deliver insightful analysis and recommendations that can be acted upon by the organization at all levels

  • Clearly articulate the approach and the findings of interpretable analytical models and drive the continuous refinement of what should be tracking and reporting

  • Lead a team of analysts and data specialists 

  • Build out in-depth knowledge of the business success drivers (including determining the KPIs that will help meet our goals) and deliver value added solutions that have a measurable impact on the business

  • Drive pragmatic approaches to solving key complex business problems through data creation, analysis, predictive modeling 

  • Work cross-functionally across multiple teams on different projects, ensuring timeliness and successful completion

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Understanding of statistical analysis, experience with packages, such as R, MATLAB, Stata, etc.

  • Working knowledge of predictive modeling, machine learning, and experimentation/ causal inference methods

  • Expertise in the data workflow and pipeline and lead a team responsible for data capture, measurement, and optimization capability management.

  • Expertise in SQL and familiarity with Python

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail

  • Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance

  • Ability to balance practical business needs and scientific rigor

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as math, statistics, and computer science, or equivalent years of experience

  • 10+ years of experience in measurement and insights; ideally in a direct to consumer business

  • 5+ years experience in building, managing, and leading a high-performing data analytics team


Preferred qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a quantitative discipline

  • Ability to bring the right data technique to solve the problem in an explainable manner to the business

  • Consultative nature, with a proven track record of using data to provide actionable results

  • Experience in Modeling, Forecasting, Data Management

  • Strong vision to building out functional area within a fast moving environment

  • Proven ability to dig into metrics and understand underlying reasons for movement

  • Successful track record in hiring, managing and developing talent
