The Comms Team is responsible for conveying Snap’s mission, vision and values to core audiences within our community, which include Snapchatters, advertising partners, content partners, investors, policymakers, and Snap team members. We’re looking for a Sr. Communications Manager to join EMEA Communications team.

What you'll do:

  • You will be responsible for designing and delivering a proactive communications strategy that enhances our corporate reputation in Saudi Arabia

  • Work closely with the Communications team in Dubai, London and Los Angeles, the local team in the MENA region and global cross-functional partners to develop and execute high-profile local communications initiatives and campaigns as well as localise and roll out global business and product news and campaigns

  • Be an ambassador for Snap in Saudi Arabia, helping to educate local reporters, commentators and influencers to bring Snap’s narrative to life locally through authentic storytelling

  • Be a trusted contact for media in Saudi Arabia who rely on you for timely and accurate information and creative story ideas

  • Collaborate closely with the close-knit global Communications team to share local knowledge, coordinate campaigns, and develop ideas

  • Work with the team in the MENA region to highlight Snap’s growing community, our support for local businesses, local investments and partnerships

  • Pitch news stories, organize press briefings, create press materials, engage with and leverage commentators and influencers and prepare spokespeople for local media interviews and speaking engagements

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 

  • Excellent understanding of the media, policy and cultural landscape in Saudi Arabia with a strong network of contacts across creators, commentators and business, consumer, technology and trade media. 

  • Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to experiment in order to learn and identify creative solutions to problems

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to build relationships cross-functionally and across different time zones

  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution and attention to detail despite frequent inbound enquiries and requests

  • Excellent news judgement as well as very strong writing and communications skills

  • Adept at corporate reputation and media issues management

  • Able to serve as a company spokesperson

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA degree or equivalent professional experience working in a communications role or related field

  • 10+ years of relevant experience

  • Fluent in Arabic with excellent writing and speaking skills
