Events Lead, Global Brand Strategy

We’re looking for a Global Brand Strategy lead to join Snap Inc! As a member of the Global Brand Strategy team, you will oversee the conception, planning and execution of experiential activations as well as bringing the Snap brand to life in various executions. You’ll collaborate with a wide-array of internal teams as well as external partners to produce client-facing events, projects and experiences.

  • Conceptualize and carry out imaginative experiences - both virtual and live with a focus on evangelizing Snap’s AR innovation efforts inside of museums, art galleries, cultural institutions, or companies etc.

  • Work cross functionally to plan and execute logistics for global events and experiences bringing new technology, opportunities, and products to cultural partners

  • Identify opportunities to bring the Snapchat brand, key priorities, new products and features to life through activations that inspire clients and partners and support discovery of innovative and strategic use cases 

  • Work cross functionally to concept, create and develop comprehensive project timelines and project trackers 

  • Support in the discovery of new Arts and Culture partnership opportunities and advise on incoming requests based on team strategies and goals

  • Make sure that events are planned and executed in a timely manner and within budget

  • Manage relationships with new and existing venues & vendors

  • Optimize event ROI 

  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, driving projects across teams and time zones, and managing vendors

  • Partner closely with the Sales, Product, Partnerships, Marketing and Executive teams to help accomplish their strategic goals and generate revenue

  • Act as a translator between tech, business and cultural teams, helping to break down new technologies and terminology

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills with ability to demonstrate expertise with executive stakeholders

  • Excellent negotiation skills and an understanding of contractual agreements with vendors and venues

  • Strong analytical skills which allow for creative methods to achieve results and solve problems cross functionally

  • Agile mindset with proven people and resource management skills

  • Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively in a fast-moving environment

  • Entrepreneurial spirit

  • Experience working with Google applications, Apple applications, and Microsoft Office Suite
     

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience

  • 6+ years of proven experience successfully managing and producing global events

  • Ability to travel at least 30% of the time (please note that this is only applicable for in-person event and is not required for virtual events) 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent negotiation skills and an understanding of contractual agreements with vendors and venues

  • Strong understanding of or experience in the Augmented Reality space

  • Strong understanding of or experience in the art, museum, and culture space 

  • Proven track record of producing unique event activations

  • Can-do attitude; no task is too big or too small

  • Meticulous attention to detail on creative and design elements

  • Comfortable managing ambiguity and experience building processes from the ground up at a fast pace 

  • Fluency in industry trends

  • Strong work ethic and ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
