Spotlight is Snapchat’s ‘public stage’ for creativity, our entertainment platform, where Snapchatters can perform, discover, and be entertained along with their friends and community. Every day, over a hundred million people use the various Content Products to get entertained and stay connected to their friends, community, and the world.

We are looking for an experienced engineering leader to lead the various teams working on products serving our content partners (i.e. creators and publishers). In this role, you will be responsible for driving a few top-line business metrics including content supply growth, partner growth, and partner satisfaction. The job is challenging, meaningful, and fun. The role is based in our San Francisco or Mountain View office, with teams located in the Bay Area, London, and Los Angeles.

What you'll do:

  • Lead strategy, execution, and end results of growing the content supply, including creator growth & retention and publisher satisfaction & retention.

  • Develop organizational-level goals, drive the technical and organizational roadmap for the engineering team while collaborating on the product and business on strategies

  • Own several key Content Partner product features including Profiles, Payments, Publisher Tools, and Creator Tools

  • Collaborate with and influence Content Ops, Finance, Product, and partner Engineering teams such as Growth, Camera, Creative Tools, and Messaging, etc.

  • Build an execution machine, iterate quickly without compromising quality, and raise the bar on operational excellence

  • Own key decisions on architecture and implementation of scalable, reliable, and cost-effective engineering

Min Qualifications

  • BS/BA in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 8+ years of management experience

  • Experience with mobile apps development

  • Track record of building, growing, and mentoring high performing large teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience (10+ years) working on well-recognized consumer products influencing the life of hundreds of millions users

  • Experience managing 100+ engineers and experience with managing managers and complex cross-functional dependencies

  • Track record of building new or hyper-growth products succeeding at a large scale. Familiar with agile, iterative, and growth-driven product development

  • Track record of delivery in rapidly changing, highly collaborative, multi-site, multi-stakeholder environments

  • Experience with content, search, marketplaces, advertising or related ML technologies

  • Relevant experience with data science and Internet-scale infrastructure

  • Have a passion to learn new things, develop people, and make a business impact at a very large scale
