The Finance Team includes Finance Business Partnership, Accounting, Finance Operations, Financial Systems, Internal Audit, Tax, Treasury, and Investor Relations teams. Together, the team partners with leadership to provide insights, information, and guidance to make strategic and operational decisions, inform investors about our business model and progress, and ensure the company is financially healthy and consistently meeting our reporting obligations.

We’re looking for a Finance Director to join our Finance team! Working within the CFO and Business Partner Finance team, you’ll play a key role in expanding our international finance team and providing valuable insights that can translate into business and product recommendations. Working from our London, UK office, you’ll lead the team that collaborates with our EU and MENA Markets including Sales, Marketing, Growth, Content and Partnerships teams to manage a PnL, develop insightful reporting, support strategic decision making, and drive actionable insights for key leaders.

 

What you'll do:

  • Assist commercial leaders in building long term strategic plans and to operationalise these plans for execution across the organization 

  • Partner with our international business teams to develop valuable insights that can translate into business and product recommendations

  • Manage revenue, expenses, and key business metrics within our international P&Ls.

  • Develop and manage team members: establish priorities, set objectives, and provide guidance and feedback

  • Develop analysis/tools to track business results and better understand key drivers

  • Provide management with clear insights into drivers of business growth, risks, and opportunities

  • Lead cross-functional projects working with other Finance leaders as well as Sales, Product, Marketing, Content, Engineering and Data Science teams.

  • Build financial models to optimize investments 

  • Develop and streamline finance processes to mitigate risk and find value within the business

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience partnering with senior executives on their business operations, financial planning, and forecasting

  • Proven track record to thrive in a multifaceted environment under short timelines and changing priorities

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and establish strong relationships

  • Track record of motivating and managing a hardworking group of ambitious professionals and taking interest in individuals’ career development paths

  • Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to think creatively and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Excellent financial modeling, quantitative and data analysis 

  • Expertise with Microsoft Excel/Powerpoint and Google Docs/Sheets 

  • Travel to offices and regions supported

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in accounting, finance or related field or equivalent years of experience

  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience

  • 3+ years of experience managing people and leading a team 

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in tech or digital media industries

  • Master’s degree or MBA

  • SQL experience

  • Multilingual skills preferred
