Key Competencies:

1. Experience building scalable services, managing uptime, reliability, and cost

2. Hands-on management experience leading high-performing teams of engineers and/or engineering managers

   1. Hire, retain, and develop the careers of the engineers on your team

   2. Coach and motivate your team to ensure high productivity and teamwork, and help each individual achieve their potential

3. Encourage and drive initiatives which promote innovation and technical excellence

   1. Interface with other internal teams to prioritise features and functionality based on the resources available and business priorities

   2. Clearly communicate any risk areas to upper management and come up with risk mitigation plans

4. Experience building relationships and influencing stakeholders across multiple disciplines.

   • Experience communicating highly technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

   • Work with Product Leadership and core engineering teams to develop and track detailed schedules, dependencies, and critical paths

   • Collaborate effectively with all project stakeholders, including Product Management, Finance, Data teams, etc

5. Experience with building features for gaming platforms.

Experience:

1. Backend Application Development experience (distributed systems / microservices / kubernetes)

2. Hands-on in System Design. Experience in code maintenance and review using Java, Go, Python, JavaScript, or Ruby

3. Gaming industry experience

4. Hands-on leadership experience

5. Healthy tenure (2+ years per role) + Strong track record of promotions

6. Able to work in the office for at least 3 days a week in Bangalore, India.

7. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a technical field of study, or equivalent industry experience
