Software Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. The candidate in this position will have the opportunity to shape testing processes and contribute to product excellence in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This is a full time on-site position in our Hunt Valley, MD office.
Responsibilities
- • Design, write, and execute manual test cases based on requirements and user stories.
- • Develop and maintain end-to-end automated test scripts using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).
- • Create and maintain robust, reusable, and scalable automation frameworks.
- • Perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing across different environments.
- • Analyze and report test results, and document defects clearly using Jira or similar tools.
- • Collaborate closely with product managers and developers to understand features and technical implementation.
- • Identify, record, and track bugs; perform thorough root-cause analysis.
- • Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests and ensuring test coverage.
- • Contribute to improving QA processes, methodologies, and best practices.

- Proven experience in manual web application testing.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright automation framework.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience writing test cases, test plans, and bug reports.
- Solid knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and using tools like Postman.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A minimum of a B.S. in engineering or science is desired. Preferred fields include computer science, information technology, information systems, computer engineering, industrial engineering (with a focus on system design and analysis), applied mathematics, or applied physics.
- While certifications are not mandatory, candidates holding one or more relevant certifications will be given preference.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in conveying complex ideas using tools such as technical diagrams, graphs, and illustrations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, plan, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams, including remote partnerships with development teams across continents.

The base salary compensation range for this role is $100,000 to $130,000 Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan
