Production Intern - Fall 2025

WTOV 9 is offering an exciting fall internship opportunity where you will gain hands-on experience behind the scenes of a dynamic news station. As a production intern, you'll have the chance to learn from the three key branches of production: Master Control, Directing, and our Game of the Week Broadcasts.

You will have a chance to learn:

• Master Control: Learn how the heartbeat of the station operates, facilitating all aspects of broadcast, from coordinating news content to managing live event breaks and ingesting spots/promos for air.
• Directing: Discover how we use the Ross Overdrive system to direct a newscast. Directors are the leaders of a broadcast, ensuring that every detail runs smoothly, from start to finish.
• Game of the Week: Experience what goes into a live football production. Learn camera work, directing, graphics, and many other aspects from a live sporting event.

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, studying Mass Communications, Media, or a related field
• At least 18 years of age
• Must receive academic credit for the internship
• Registered as a full-time student during the internship period
• Reliable transportation is required
• Must be entering their junior or senior year of college

• This is an unpaid internship.
• Credit verification forms will be provided to your institution.
