Systems Engineer I
Overview:
SimVentions is searching for System Engineers to join our team in support of Tactical Tomahawk Weapons Control System (TTWCS). The candidate will work on a diverse team with fellow SimVentions’ system engineers and government personnel. The ideal candidate will have experience with MBSE methods and environments, Cameo and/or other modeling tools, developing system designs and requirements, and participating in working groups and integrated product teams (IPT). The ideal candidate will be able to perform core engineering tasks (develop requirements, define interface updates, update architectural diagrams, etc.) within models. An understanding of MBSE and how to apply its methods and principles to completing engineering tasks is highly desired.
Travel: Travel to NSWCDD once every week to two weeks. Clearance:An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.
Requirements:- Engineering experience, especially with DoD programs or weapon systems, in concept definition, architecture development, requirements definition, and initial and detailed system design activities.
- Understanding of MBSE and experience applying its methods and principles to completing engineering tasks.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must be able to learn quickly.
- Must be able to effectively communicate and disseminate information verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to work on a diverse team with other contractors and government personnel.

- Determine impacts on the weapon system, requirements, and other design specifications during engineering development.
- Review, analyze, and create requirements at multiple levels (SSS, SSDD, SRS, HRS) for weapon system capability and functionality.
- Develop Candidate Change Packages (CCP) to engineer new system capabilities and document design details and impacts in models and engineering documents.
- Review, analyze, and develop system architectures, especially using MagicDraw.
- Provide human factors engineering, prototyping, and analysis support for the development and maintenance of the system user interface requirements and specifications (e.g., the Human Computer Interface (HCI) Design Specification).
- Review, analyze, provide inputs, make updates, and adjudicate comments for external interface documents.
- Experience using Cameo and/or other modeling tools to perform system engineering tasks.
- Experience using Jira to document and track CRs as well as tracking tasks.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and Word.
Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.
