What you'll do:
- Take up the Supplier Quality Account Mgr (QAM) role. Be the contact window to supplier on quality requirements and performance.
- Drive early supplier engagement in the NPI process, validate and (dis)approve release of products and processes at suppliers.
- Report on performance, supports business reviews at suppliers
- Control and (dis)approve changes of products and processes at suppliers using industry standard practices.
- Be responsible for all quality related elements in supplier contracts, thus enabling cost of non-quality recovery
- Be accountable for quick but complete resolution of complaints
- Several years of experience in Quality, Procurement or Operations management
- Strong knowledge in the Electronic Component technology area (Semiconductors, LEDs...) and their application in lighting products
- Auditor qualifications and related experience
- Thorough understanding of Quality Tools & modern engineering methods such as PPAP, D/PFMEA, MSA, control plans, SPC, Cpk, DfA, DfM, VE etc.)
- Strong knowledge of problem-solving techniques (5xWhy, 8D, Fault tree etc.)
- Influencing skills: collaborative yet can challenge confidently. Strong communicator
- Acts with a sense of urgency
- Bachelor's degree in engineering/technology or a related discipline
