Working as an intern in Research & Development team at Signify is dynamic. You'll be working for the dynamically evolving OEM electronics business. We're greater together through peer learning in our globally diverse team, with different backgrounds and nationalities.
We're looking for graduate student who'll picking up an assignment in the field of digital and connected electronics, The assignment can be geared towards automated system testing, embedded control, feature development, communication interfaces or wireless protocols.
You'll be part of the Signify R&D team and its responsibilities are developing new innovative products, so innovation, open mindedness and challenging status quo must be in your DNA.
What you'll do
- Contribute to the development of Philips MasterConnect system releases.
- Writing software or scripts for dashboarding, product development or testing.
- Evaluating prototype implementations and test builds of our Mobile app.
- Work with Lighting products that are connected via ZigBee and Bluetooth.
- Master study in a relevant field related to Software Development.
- Affinity with Internet of Things and a passion for wireless technology and innovations.
- Displaying a good level of spoken and written English.
- A team player with a creative mind yet being able to implement pragmatic solutions.
- A highly self-confident, self-motivated person who can work independently.
- Flexible working hours (3-4 days per week, or full time)
- 5-6-month assignment in the R&D department (location: High Tech Campus, Eindhoven)
- Participation in R&D projects and gaining practical knowledge in the area of innovation creation and implementation for mass production.
- Training and coaching from experienced R&D staff
- Internship allowance; the exact amount depends on your situation (also towards rented accommodation or public transportation)

Notes
- EU/EER students: In order to be considered for this internship, you need to be registered as a student during the entire internship period. Formal documentation of this may be requested at any time.
- Non-EU students in Dutch Universities: You need to be registered as a student and your university needs to sign the Nuffic Agreement. The internship needs to be a compulsory part of your studies (receive ECTS in turn). In case of non-compulsory internship, you need to have a letter from the university in which it states that your internship contributes to your personal development, what your learning goals are and what tasks you will undertake during your internship. The letter has to be signed and stamped by your university.
- Non-EU students in non-Dutch Universities: You need to be registered as a student and the internship should be a compulsory part of your studies. Also, you need to be able to get the official approval of your university for this internship (Nuffic agreement).
