As a Manufacturing Technician you'll be responsible for managing a specific Assembly Area within Copper Lighting business in Monterrey, Mexico. The incumbent will have knowledge for the manufacturing processes including Process, Productivity, Maintenance, Electrical Test & Lean Manufacturing. The incumbent works with internal cross-functional teams to meet business goals in Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery, and Cost .

What you'll do
• Promote culture of Continuous Improvement and understand lean manufacturing techniques as they apply to eliminate waste and deliver products to customer's expectations.
• Drive short-term and long-term improvements to achieve goals outlined on Value Stream Maps.
• Participates and leads/facilitates kaizen events and High-Performance Work Team activities. Works on set-up reduction, TPM, 5S, and problem-solving activities (including support the Six-Sigma activities).
• Work continuous improvement projects that support the Six-Sigma methodology.
• Generate and follow up to plans to support new products/equipment and improvements to maintain competitive edge in market with the support of a Manufacturing Engineer.
• Verify and modify existing process as necessary and optimize cycle times for a better utilization of resources.
• Follow up timing, spend, and savings on Capital projects for the facility with the support of a Manufacturing Engineer.
• Develops manufacturing process instructions, Setup sheets, visual aids and training material for all Assembly area.
• Assists others in root cause and failure analysis as required and develop root cause and corrective actions to resolve issues involving discrepant product or material
• Close and follow up any Safety and Ergonomics actions according to manufacturing needs.
• Plan and execute any maintenance activities according to Manufacturing needs.


Your qualifications
Certified technician degree.
Knowledge on Lean Manufacturing
Understanding of problem-solving methods (Six Sigma, 8D, root cause analysis)
AutoCAD
Working knowledge of high-volume manufacturing environment.
Fluent Spanish and 50% English.
