Electrical Engineering Intern

We're looking for an Electrical Engineer Intern to join our Team in Singapore for the second half of 2024 (May/Jun - Dec 2024)

What you'll do & learn

Broadly, what System Engineers do is to review and translate Customer requirements into action, by configuring programmable controllers and testing the resulting behaviour, in a range of situations (Hotel, office, public lighting, etc). An understanding of electrical fundamentals, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is important, as it will help a candidate have a greater impact on the System Engineering activities, during their internship. Activities will include:

• Develop detailed design for the relevant programmable building blocks of the solution to deliver.
• Review/ verify the control design, schematics and drawings delivered by the Technical Designer
• Build mock-ups to test inter-operability and/or features of the sub-system
• Perform remote and on site commissioning - i.e. PLC programming using Signify commissioning applications
• Preparation of system testing and turnover documentation including scoped documents, test records, test procedures and other similar required documents
• Oversee, and coordinate 3rd party Subcontractors as required
• Participate in system turnover walkdowns for both Construction and Customer; initiate, track and resolve punchlist items for assigned areas of responsibility
• Develop, train and deploy user instruction/ manuals to customer organization during handover
• Work with all Stakeholders in the creation of quotes for architectures selected, system additions and upgrades

Your qualifications

• Fresh graduates/Undergraduates with an Engineering background (Electrical or Electronics preferred, Computer Science candidate with a good fundamentals in those fields will) are welcome to apply
• Fluent in English

Good to have:

• CAD knowledge
• General IT Network understanding
