We are looking for a highly motivated software qualityengineer with a degree in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineeringto join the Calibre product software development team. Calibre's high-capacityand high-performance tools are key to our customers' success in buildingintegrated circuits (ICs) for the semiconductor industry.

In this role you will use your test experience to furtherimprove the quality and delivery of our products, across the full releasecycle. We are looking for an individual who pays good attention to detail, islogical and has an analytical mind-set, with strong problem-solving skills. Therewill be plenty of opportunity to learn new technologies and grow.

Responsibilities:

As part of the Results Viewing Environment (RVE) / CalibreInteractive (CI) project team you will be responsible for verification and testof Siemen's interface technologies and graphical user interfaces. Additionalquality assurance responsibilities include:

  • Involved in the design, development, and execution of functional and regression tests used to measure correctness, adaptability, performance, and overall quality.
  • Collaborate with senior software engineers, quality assurance specialists, marketing, and customer support professionals to help deliver timely product releases that meet our customer's needs.
  • Provide all partners with appropriate regression reports in a timely manner.
  • Encouraged to take advantage of opportunities provided to improve technical and job-related skills, such as developing additional product breadth and business skills!
  • Use your leadership and innovation, to develop procedures and tools needed to improve the QA process and assist developers in making design trade-offs and risk analysis assessments.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Technical degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of shell scripting and interpretedsoftware languages (Tcl/Tk, or Python, etc.)
  • Knowledge of software quality assurance processes and experience with maintaining regression test suites.

• Self-motivated, trustworthy, and able to workindependently.

  • Able to thrive and grow in a multifaceted multi-site fast-paced development environment.

• Good verbal, written, and interpersonalcommunication skills.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • EDA verification tools like DRC, LVS, Parasitic Extraction.
  • EDA layout/schematic viewers and/or place and route tools.
  • Experience with testing Qt-based GUIs with Squish is a plus.
  • Experience with testing in the cloud is an asset.

The salary range for this position is $101,200 to$182,200 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actualcompensation offered is based on the successful candidate's work location aswell as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, andrelevant education/training.
