We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Software Architect to lead the architectural design and technical direction of our RTL Synthesis product development, focus on delivering cutting-edge solutions for digital ASIC design.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of deep expertise in RTL synthesis, RTL-level optimizations, and performance-driven design methodologies. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of synthesis tools, driving innovation, and delivering differentiated capabilities that address the evolving challenges of power, performance, and design complexity.

You will collaborate with product management, quality assurance, technical publications, and customer support to deliver high-quality products on schedule. You will participate in the scheduling and estimation of tasks and assist in defining and developing best practices for software development. Self-motivation, the desire to take technical ownership, a results-driven positive attitude, and team orientation will contribute to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architectural design and technical direction for RTL synthesis tools within the digital ASIC design flow.


  • Define and evolve the architecture of RTL synthesis engines with a focus on power, performance, and area (PPA) optimization.


  • Drive innovation in RTL-level optimization techniques, including high-level synthesis-aware transformations and low-power synthesis strategies.


  • Work closely with product development teams to ensure architectural consistency, scalability, and technical differentiation.


  • Provide technical mentorship and leadership across multiple engineering teams, ensuring alignment with long-term development goals.


  • Collaborate with product management to translate customer needs into innovative architectural solutions and differentiated product features.


  • Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to the long-term technical roadmap.


  • Participate in code and architecture reviews, ensuring high standards of software quality and performance.


  • Identify architectural risks and propose mitigation strategies early in the product lifecycle.


  • Act as a key contributor and thought leader in shaping the future of RTL synthesis.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.


  • 10+ years of industry experience in RTL synthesis for digital ASIC designs.


  • Strong expertise in RTL-level optimization for power, performance, and area (PPA).


  • Solid understanding of digital design principles and ASIC design flows.


  • Proven experience developing and delivering commercial RTL synthesis or related EDA tools.


  • Demonstrated ability to lead architectural design and guide technical direction of development teams.


  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.


  • Experience with high-level synthesis (HLS) integration and high-abstraction RTL transformations.


  • Background in building scalable and modular software architectures.


  • Knowledge of advanced low-power design techniques and multi-objective synthesis strategies.


  • Experience working in large, cross-functional engineering organizations.


  • Familiarity with competitive EDA tools and industry trends in RTL synthesis.

This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.

The salary range for this position is $235,200 to $376,300 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
