Duties: Design synthesizable VHDL and Verilog models for storage, interconnectand functional units suitable for use as components in a high-level synthesisapplication. Design C++ simulation models for functional units imported fromHDL. Tune the constraints for synthesizable C++ models to achieve appropriatequality-of-results. Create new feature design specifications includingarchitecture, implementation decisions and testing strategy based on marketingrequirements. Create technical documentation for product features includingapplication notes and design examples. Maintain regular progress tracking usingan Agile process and JIRA software. Assist with debugging customer issues,including tool flow and quality-of-results problems.

Requirements: Employer will accept a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, inElectrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field. Positionrequires coursework or experience in the following: Programming in C++,utilizing object-oriented design and developing algorithms; Utilizing hardwaredescription languages VH such as DL, Verilog, or SystemC; Utilizing digitallogic circuits including combinational and sequential; Running RTL simulationusing QuestaSim, ModelSim, NCSim, VCS-MX or other hardware event simulationtools; Utilizing concepts like pipelining and memory hierarchies; Creatingtechnical specifications for hardware algorithms for digital designs includingdocumentation and test plans; Working in a Linux environment using shell and scriptinglanguages to automated tasks.
