Here at Siemens Digital Industries Software, we are looking for aSoftware Engineer to join our technical team at the research & developmentsite of Siemens EDA (Electronic and Design Automation). We develop innovativechip design software that is used by some of the world's largest technologycompanies. At Siemens EDA, we develop custom software to solve problems incircuit verification, design automation, design validation and otherspecialized fields within the semiconductor industry. Solutions are foundthrough approaches such as machine learning, statistical analysis, and advanced(and patented!) techniques.

As Software Engineer C++ / Linux

You will be working at the cutting-edge of software development withindustry-leading customers at one of the largest companies in the world. Thisposition is in our R&D office in Weert, the Netherlands.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Use modern C++ todevelop software that addresses some of the world's most challenging problems.
  • Work with anoutstanding technical team, here in Weert and around the world, to ensure ourleading electronic design automation products evolve to meet the changingexpectations of our customers.
  • Collaborate directlywith technology experts at major semiconductor companies to define, develop,and deliver new products and product features.

All about you!

  • Love for solvinghard, technical problems.
  • Proven ability toeffectively develop high-quality software in a collaborative environment.
  • Demonstratedexpertise in all of the following:modern C++ (C++17 and up), STL, Linux
  • Demonstratedexpertise in some of the following:source control (Git), GUI design (Qt), Python, transistor-level circuit design,EDA CAD tools, algorithms, test automation
  • Excellentinterpersonal skills (both written and verbal) proven through softwaredocumentation (commit messages, docstrings, etc.), collecting customerrequirements, and communicating with team members.
  • A team player: anability to provide and be receptive of constructive feedback (through codereviews, design iteration, verification process); mentor and teach others inthe team.
  • Customer-focused;ability to prioritize tasks based on customer experience and ROI.
  • Willingness to learnand interested in new challenges.
  • Available to workfrom our Weert facility a couple of days per week as we do offer flexibleworking arrangements with the option to split your week between working fromhome and the office.
