Our unit is responsible for driving innovation within Mendix, as we work on cutting-edge technologies to democratize Generative AI solutions as part of our global R&D organization.

Our local team in Munich and Rotterdam develops innovative solutions so our customers can create smarter applications to leverage generative AI with a great developer and end-user experience. You can find most of our components in the Mendix marketplace, they are showcased in this app and can be used through Mendix Cloud GenAI Resource Packs.

You'll help drive digital innovation by:

    • Building something new upon an existing foundation, moving as fast as the GenAI space is progressing
    • Working with early adopters to create the portfolio of GenAI assets our customers really need.
    • Working on a platform and we're in it for the long haul. Thousands of developers and millions of end users across the globe rely on your work and each commit can make a lot of impact.
    • Being thorough, we like to get to the bottom of things; clear answers are more important than deadlines.
    • Dabbling in all sorts of technologies when it takes our fancy. Although we focus on Mendix, JavaScript and Typescript we sometimes branch out into Java, .NET, HTML5 and CSS3. Other tools we use include: NodeJS, Python and SQL.

You're the innovator we need if:

    • You're an expert in JavaScript/Typescript/HTML5 and its functional style. You're a polyglot when it comes to software development.
    • You like learning new things and techniques, you pick up new languages and technologies based on tasks at hand
    • You are excited by the challenge of complex technical problems
    • You feel responsible for the quality of your work and the impact it has on others
    • You have experience in Agile software development. You're able to adapt to change and are open-minded. You're comfortable working as part of a scrum team
    • You know what product development requires, such as setting up a CI/CD pipeline with automated tests and (remote) observability
    • You want to become part of a work environment in which your ideas are valued
    • You enjoy meeting your colleagues once or twice a week in a modern office in Schwabing

Bonus if:

    • You have experience building integrated development environments (IDEs) or reusable components for developers in the community.
    • You have a background in the domain of generative AI.
    • You have experience with hyperscaler platforms such as AWS, Azure and Google
    • You have already gained experiences with Mendix and StudioPro extensibility
